SEO for beginners
The topic of SEO education will always stir controversy and emotion, especially when it's a piece published on an interactive agency's blog. Do you expect this concept to be condemned in a blitzkrieg? A theory that the less a client knows about SEO, the better for the SEO specialist? We can't help but invite you to read on!
Who is a SEO specialist?
Essential components of the SEO process are website optimization, linking, implementing new content, and… No, this time we won’t be talking about that 😉 Effective SEO depends on, among other things, the knowledge, skills, and experience of the SEO specialist supported by appropriate tools, often in the PRO version.
Some of the elements on this list can only be acquired by working with websites and people – more experienced specialists. This is something that cannot be replaced by training, books, reading articles, industry portals, blogs, forum posts, etc. This doesn't mean we devalue these sources of knowledge – we use and value them ourselves, and we are their co-creators. We're leaving out the issues related to the tools in these considerations – after all, some are free, some require a fee. However, we can't say that they aren't available to those interested in them, or that you need an official SEO ID to use them or purchase access to them.
Getting to the point, one might be tempted to say that experience is largely what makes an SEO expert. There's no such thing as a theoretician SEO expert who only knows SEO from research.

Verseo publications on search engine positioning and marketing
One of Verseo's distinguishing features is its educational projects – free, easily accessible, and presenting a variety of internet marketing topics (not just SEO ). Verseo AdBook (the next edition is on the way), 40 SEO lessons, numerous guides, a newsletter, a blog… there's quite a bit of content, and more projects are lining up to see the light of day. Our materials are aimed at those interested in online marketing.
We're often asked if we feel our projects are feeding potential competition, or if an educated client might want to leave the agency and go it alone. The answer is, "We have no problem with that." Simply reading our publications won't make you an SEO expert, though it may inspire you to experiment with your website.
We know from experience that our clients who have benefited from one of our projects feel more like partners in their conversations with their Verseo advisors. Communication becomes easier, more open, and at a higher level of trust. Trust in what we do increases. This confirms that knowledge is not a detriment. On the contrary, the higher the level of competence, the more satisfying the collaboration.
Who do we write for?
We make no secret of the fact that our publications are largely targeted at our clients – current and potential. We write with them in mind, and we select our publication topics with them in mind. We strive to do this in a way that is accessible and, at the same time, does not distort the issues we describe.
Where can you download our publications?
It's best to start with a compendium of online advertising knowledge: the 2018 AdBook Guide summarizes the most popular advertising channels online. Then, subscribe to the incredibly enjoyable 30 SEO Lessons.
